Hysteroscopy is the examination of the inside of the uterus, which is visualized using a slender, lighted tube (endoscope) introduced via the cervix. This procedure is used to diagnose various conditions like fibroids, polyps, septum in the uterus. Also, the fallopian tube can be seen in hysteroscopy and if there is any blockage in the tube it can be removed simultaneously. The blocked fallopian tubes prevent the sperm from reaching the egg and fertilizing it.
